AN Interiors Business has invested £ 40,000 in a new e-commerce platform.

Richard Grafton Interiors’ new online site offers all items available in its Harrogate, Ilkley and Wetherby showrooms to buyers in the UK.

The new site was managed by brand manager Charlotte Grafton, 26, who returned to Harrogate to work in the family business 12 months ago, after gaining retail experience as a buyer for Harrods in London.

“With physical stores continuing to thrive, improving our online offering was the next natural step,” said Charlotte. “Not only did we take the opportunity to refresh the website, but we also wanted to give customers the ability to shop with us remotely, making them feel like they were in one of our stylish showrooms. from their own home. ”

Managing Director Richard Grafton added: “After the initial lockdown we saw a marked increase in interest in interiors with so many people working remotely or simply spending more time at home. Once the showrooms were able to reopen in July, we enjoyed a very busy summer, but realized that we needed to accelerate our plans for an online store in the face of possible further closures.

“We went out of our way to deliver the project ahead of schedule and are really excited that our fourth virtual showroom is up and running in time for customers to do their Christmas shopping. ”

Founded eight years ago, the Yorkshire interior, architecture and design firm now employs 21 people, including 12 designers working in its interior design, custom cabinetry and bathroom division. . In June, she opened a new showroom in Wetherby.

“Despite its delayed opening due to the lockdown, the Wetherby showroom has got off to a good start.

“The combination of our inspiring bedroom sets, our knowledgeable and friendly team led by interior designers, Donna Schofield and Karen Draper, as well as the renewed enthusiasm for interiors made Wetherby exceed targets and we have had great feedback from customers.

“As a company, we pride ourselves on our ability to constantly adapt and improve. We believe our latest investment in an e-commerce platform will complement our physical stores, encompassing the full range of products in our three showrooms while providing customers with the ability to shop from their own homes.

Since its launch in March 2012, Richard Grafton Interiors has gone from providing fabrics and upholstery to full service with its team of designers, planners and installers offering a complete turnkey solution for all building projects. inside.
