ITC Ltd, which launched its online store in seven cities with more than 700 products during the Covid-19 pandemic, is now planning to double its geographic presence in the near future, a senior company official said.
Shuvadip Banerjee, Vice President, Marketing Services, Food Division at ITC, said: “Consumer-centric innovations like itcstore.in complement ITC’s in-depth collaborations with its traditional and new-age supply chain partners, while by building people’s trust in the ITC brand. We are excited to expand the itcstore.in drop shipping service to more geographies.
ITC currently sells products in 46 categories through the online store. This includes the organic and multi-grain attack, ghee, frozen snacks and pasta, luxury chocolates, ready-to-eat, hygiene products among others. The platform has been carefully developed with built-in capabilities for handling ambient, cold, frozen and fresh products.
To generate traffic, the company also offers surprise deals at Rs 1 for new products ITC has launched in the online store, while delivery is free for an order value of Rs 750 and above.
ITC’s online store recently won top execution scores in an independent Redseer survey of 10,000 consumers.
