Through the Agriculture Services Portal, farmers will be able to purchase seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, animal feed and other agricultural inputs.

With the help of village-level entrepreneurs (VLEs) who run CSCs (common service centers) and FPOs, farmers can connect with buyers to sell their products through Kisan e-Mart, the rural marketing arm. of the CSC.

CSC SPV currently operates around 3.74 lakh CSC, of ​​which 80 percent is operational in rural and semi-urban areas.

The MOVR application hosted on the portal will also allow farmers to hire and lease agricultural machinery at high value equipment at affordable costs, he added.

Agricultural teleconsultation with scientists from ICAR’s Krishi Vigyan Kendras is also offered to farmers through the portal.

Currently, 32,162 CHCs are connected to over 600 Krishi Vigyan Kendras to provide teleconsultations.

During the last year, nearly 4 lakh teleconsultations have been carried out.
