CDF-Sunrise unveils live streaming, e-shop and online store Estée Lauder

CHINA. CDF-Sunrise Shanghai has stepped up its digital and e-commerce offering with three new initiatives, including live streaming, a generic e-shop and an Estée Lauder online store.

China’s leading tour operator launched its first-ever live streaming at the satellite terminal at Shanghai Pudong Airport on July 26.

The retailer’s audience can now watch the live stream of CDF-Sunrise SH’s newly developed mini-program “日 上 会员” on Wechat, with computing supported by the TripurX Tech mini-program.

presents a live channel on the TripurX mini-program, which links the broadcast room online. TripurX is a sister company of the popular B2C platform WeChat Globuy, with which The Moodie Davitt Report works closely.

The first show generated 165,000 views and over 400,000 interactions. The host introduced more than ten hot sale products; led a store tour for the public; and showed several brand counters with product recommendations from beauty consultants, including Guerlain, Dior, Lancôme SK-II, Clarins and others.

Thanks to TripurX CRM management, the ecosystem is able to manage specific traffic activity. For example, travelers can place pre-orders with subsequent pickup at the airport while watching the show, and then receive a reminder via Wechat.

In the related news, CDF-Sunrise SH has also opened its online store on TripurX (as part of a vast marketing partnership between TripurX and CDFG).

The online store offers a range of services for travelers, including online pre-ordering and other digital marketing and sales functions. When travel retail customers browse the e-shop, they can receive the latest news from CDFG Sunrise SH campaigns and promotions, as well as vouchers.

Through the API (Application Programming Interface) connection, pre-ordered inventory can be synchronized in real time, allowing travelers to choose products and complete payment before their trip.

After verifying the QR code on their TripurX order, buyers can then collect the goods from service points at the airport. This provides excellent convenience for travelers and improves safety by avoiding contact with other buyers in offline situations.

Besides the pre-order function, the platform also offers discount and coupon promotion functions. Promotional products from retailers are displayed in high visibility locations so that users can find them easily.

Buyers can also receive CDF-Sunrise SH coupons on TripurX for online pre-orders and in-store purchases.

Estee Lauder opens an online brand store with CDF-Sunrise SH and TripurX

Another major development, leading beauty house Estée Lauder opened an online brand boutique within the CDF-Sunrise SH store on TripurX in July. Already, more than 14,000 users have become followers of the store.

The main functions include brand communication, hot selling recommendations, new product launches, product display and online pre-order.

The platform offers Estée Lauder an excellent opportunity for precise and efficient exposure.

It is designed to encourage brand loyalty among travel retail consumers, while providing users with greater convenience when searching for the brand and purchasing products.

Estée Lauder’s online store is divided into ten easily identifiable sections, including pages dedicated to new products, skincare, beauty, perfumes, travel retail exclusives and others.

All product pages are linked to the CDF Sunrise SH online store where users can pre-order the product directly.

TripurX is working on data research to support Estée Lauder in analyzing customer behavior via the channel.
